Rainyday Tilton, Interim Chair
My name is Rainyday Tilton. I am a passionate woman, an inspired Montessori teacher, and a proud mom. I have been teaching for seventeen years in the school where I began my education at three years old. I love working with children of all ages... I always have and I believe I always will. I feel grateful to have the opportunity to be on the board of the Valley School, to support their amazing vision and the children who benefit from it. I am a life long beginning learner and feel excited to go into each new day with new eyes and fresh curiosity

Lily Reishman, Member
Hello! My name is Lily Reishman, and I am thrilled to be joining the TVS board as of December, 2021. I was a founding teacher with TVS in 2015, and have held a soft spot in my heart for this school over the years. Currently, I work as the MTSS and 504 Coordinator for Online Oregon Schools. I am passionate about providing educational choice for families, and advocating for students as they grow academically, socially and emotionally throughout their school careers. I am grateful for the opportunity to help support TVS, and its growth in our local community.

I moved to Medford, Oregon, seven years ago from St. Louis, MO, but I am originally from Arkansas. I am excited about joining The Valley School of Southern Oregon Board, where student-centered earning through connection is a priority. I enjoy Medford because it reminds me of my home with much better weather. I have been a teacher for 18 years and still want love being in the math classroom and seeing the "I got it" for students. I am a mother of three, grandmother of two, and currently one dog family with my significant other, Sean Mohren, who works at Crater Lake National park. I believe education is a place for exploring new and old ideas, seeking opportunities that might not have been available in the past, and gaining knowledge students can be anything they want to be and live any life they want. Education can shape not only students' minds but also has the potential to shape their entire lives. I have enjoyed the opportunities my small rural hometown provided, the military training I joined after High School, and continued through my learning at Missouri Baptist University and my recent experiences at Southern Oregon University.
Founding Board Members
The Valley School of Southern Oregon was founded by a group of community members who sought a different type of public education. These community members established a non-profit in September of 2014 and began the process of opening The Valley School of Southern Oregon.
